Needles, shots and strategies.

We underestimated the impact of the heat. James’ delicate skin bloomed with a heat rash and blisters. We used a sewing needle to fix the blisters and we’re on track to fix the skin.

Today we ventured out to shop for new shoes that suit him better, and some anti- inflammatory cream.

While we worked on our strategy to be ready for tomorrow’s trek, our cohort of hikers were trekking through more fields. Today they halted half way and waited to be picked up by our host. They were greeted at the waiting point by Zotan, a friendly local with home made Palenka shots for the weary hikers. They raised a few shots to the 5 day Hungarian independence of 1956 and cheered each other’s health.

So success in different ways today. Yeah!
