Races, Hill, Chip & Dale
Today’s 24km hike followed a crisp channel of water through Bistra.

Swift flowing along the way from creek, to mill, to race and irrigation gates. Leafy greens in the water waved us on with their siren like undulations.
Then up, up, up the hill until all the valley lay before us and we could peer like birds across the hilltops.

We delved into a forest of logging roads and fresh cut timber.
We lumbered by busy bees in their gypsy colored hives that had been placed in the woods to do their work for hire of pollination.
We descended from our forested hills to the dale below and walked in to the town of Leze.
James greeted us at the pub with cheese, sausage and bread. A hikers delight! He had waited for us along with Tadeja, a wonderful young taxi driver, to help us finish our way to the next hostel.
